Tattoo

Torpedo sometimes watches LA Ink on TLC with me. It is a reality show of a tattoo shop in LA, California. The tattoo artists are amazing, it it crazy how cool some of the tattoos are. Or at least me and Torpedo think their crazy cool.
Well, Torpedo got some fake tattoos for Valentines day. Thanks Nannie and PaPa! He had us put this one on him and told us that he didn't want to wash it off. Several days later as it started to wear off, he asked us to take a picture of it. We asked "why?". He told us that we were going to take him to LA Ink and he was going to get this tattooed on him, just like this and he needed a picture to show them.
"Really" we thought. I guess I need to pay more attention to what I am letting him watch. He is only 6 and planning on his tattoos! What have we gotten ourselves into with this child!!!

On the other hand, I am not sure J. Bear will ever want a tattoo, because I informed her that it was little needles they use. I think that made her turn her nose up at the idea. Not so much for Torpedo.

Angel Fire Ski Trip

I haven't blogged in awhile because we were gone on a skiing trip. We went with two other awesome families to Angel Fire, New Mexico. We had a blast. It was the kids first time to ski and they loved it. Torpedo is a speed demon. He just tucks and goes as fast as he can. J. Bear wants to start going every year. That is okay with me, because I love skiing.
Here are some pics of our trip.

Some memories from the trip include the hot tub. The last night of the trip some of us got into the hot tub. I didn't really want to get in but I didn't want to be a party pooper. Well 5 of 12 people came home with a rash. It is called hot tub follicultitis. Torpedo and I got it, J. Bear and Big Daddy were the lucky ones. Guess I shouldn't worry about being the party pooper next time.

Another thing that happened, was Torpedo lost a tooth. Big Daddy misplaced it, so we had to write the tooth fairy a note. The Tooth Fairy left Torpedo $5.

We hope this trip turns into a President's Day Weekend trip tradition with the other two families. We had such a great time.

Is this real life?

This YouTube video cracked me up. Just check it out. The link wasn't working so go to
www. youtube.com and search for "David after the Denist".
J. Bear and Torpedo are always asking me if things are "for real life". This video made me laugh until I got teared up. I just wanted to share the laugh with you all.

Heaven

At our church, we have greeters at the front doors and in the lobby. The greeters in the lobby hold up question mark signs, so you know to go to them if you have any questions.
Well, Torpedo wanted to hold the sign for one of the guys. He is such a little helper, when it is his idea.
I walked up to him and said "I have a question". He said "What is it?" I asked him " How do you get to Heaven?" He said "You die".
Great I thought, we'll have talk about that more later.
Kids and the way they think!

Chocolate Sheet Cake

Tonight, Big Daddy made a yummy chocolate sheet cake.

Nannie and PaPa (my mom and step dad) will be here tonight after a 15 hour drive with 3 dogs. For those of you who didn't know, they are moving from New Mexico to Oklahoma and will be living in the house next door. Good Times!

Nannie likes to get up in the middle of the night and snack. She is a little funny like that. Well, Big daddy hooked her up with the yummy chocolate sheet cake.
Only we didn't wait for them to get here before we had to have a piece of it. That is how good it is. It's a good thing they loves us.

Competition

Enjoying the nice weather in February. Can't wait til spring. The kids enjoy racing each other up and down the street on their bikes or scooters. They both like to change the rules in the middle of the race so they can win. Do you think their competitive?

Addictions

A week ago today, Big Daddy turned 40! His gift that he received from us was an iPod touch. He has enjoyed it so much. His favorite game so far on it is Jelly Car plus he likes to surf the web with it. As Torpedo would say " My daddy is addicted to his iPod touch".

Torpedo should not be talking.
It looks like to me that Torpedo is addicted to his Nitendo DS. He plays that thing non stop. His favorite game is Super Mario Brothers.

Imagination

How a little imagination and a couple trees and sticks can make for a great day of fun.
Torpedo's tree was called a castle. It had two rooms, top branch (upstairs) the king room and lower branch (downstairs) the warrior room. It was even equipped with a force field, that you had to use sticks (keys) to turn on and off. What the force field was protecting him from, I have no idea.

Torpedo kept trying to steal sticks (keys) from J. Bears tree. He would pretend to dig underground to sneak over to her tree and steal them. Of course they argued about if he really stole them or not. Siblings and their disagreements.

Tree climbing, what great memories for a childhood filled with imagination!
